An integral part of the Coke Studio sound, Rachel Viccaji is a multi-faceted artist staying true to her form. A psychology undergraduate at Szabist, Rachel grew up in a musical home – her early years were spent singing hymns in Church and caroling at Christmas. Several years of gigs and musicals later, Rachel stepped into the limelight with her performance in the musical ‘Mamma Mia’ staged in Karachi. With Coke Studio, Rachel has been able to connect her knowledge of music with the sounds of the soil – an experience that she feels has enriched her understanding of music as a universal language.

Surrounded by music while growing up, she got her formal training in Eastern Classical from Ustaad Rauf, and went on to perform as a main act at various venues with some mainstream acts across the country. Having been associated with the show for six seasons, she made her debut on Coke Studio, Season 5 in a duet with Overload. A household name in the Coke Studio family, Rachel returns in Season 9, as a backing vocalist and as a featured artist marked her second time on the platform. In Season 10, Rachel brings her powerhouse vocals to the forefront again and brings her dynamite energy and spirited vocals back on the Coke Studio floor.
